Role Summary:
Below is a broad overview of the essential job functions required for the successful execution of this position.

The Manager of Digital Investigations is responsible for managing and facilitating the internal investigations process for They will play an integral role in the day to day Digital Risk Management operations to support the Banners Managing Director of Fraud Operations in overall risk resolution and reduction strategy, compliance to fraud standards, and ensuring the overall safety and integrity of the Digital business. The Manager of Digital investigations is a resource for both Digital and Distribution Centers. Responsibilities include TNDC, MTDC, PADC and Call Center Investigations.

Key Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred, investigative certifications are required for candidates who do not have a college degree
  • Ability to interpret exception-based reports to detect fraud, misconduct, and financial risk
  • Excellent communication skills, strong interviewing ability, the ability to understand complex financial schemes and assimilate information quickly
  • Investigations experience required: 15 years minimal with at least 10 years in direct investigative roles
  • Must either know or have ability to learn Exception Reporting systems, POS Monitoring, and Case Management. Must be able to install cameras and trouble shoot CCTV issues
  • Must be able to train investigators on investigative techniques. Ability to speak accurately and concisely on facts of an investigation. Must be able to work as part of a team and collaborate on complex investigation

Role Description: 

  • Below create a bulleted list of the major tasks, duties, and responsibilities performed by this position.  
  • Review exception-based reports and reply to tips and compliance issues from legal to identify and resolve all dishonesty occurring in the banner. This person will manage and investigate all cases fully through to completion, while initiating their own cases and supporting manager/supervisor/investigator-initiated cases
  • Be responsible for the training and development of future members of the internal investigations. Oversee investigative case productivity of team members and develops theft detection strategies for the team to implement.  The manager of Investigations also assesses and evaluates new investigative technology to be used by the investigations team and teaches that technology, such as CCTV review and camera installation, to all team members.
  • Conduct interviews and trains team members on proper interview techniques.  The Manager of Digital Investigations must be able to express the findings of an investigation in a clear, concise, and accurate manner, both orally and in writing. 
  • They will compile documents for law enforcement agencies in cases forwarded for prosecution
  • Train your team in systems usage, investigative procedures, and audit standards. They will directly participate in DC audits to monitor internal loss conditions/identified deficiencies and assist the DC with the execution of inventory control and shortage reduction programs.
