Role Summary:

Saks is looking for a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and accuracy who is adept at analysing financial results. The successful candidate will be a key part of the Saks Corporate FP&A team supporting various business partners including Digital Fulfillment Operations, and Logistics Capital. The role will involve building a robust fulfillment operational model and process in addition to developing financial forecasts and budgets.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or Manager with a background in fulfillment oR logistics
  • Experience in analyzing 3PL initiatives and supply chain network costs is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred
  • Highly proficient computer skills with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of VBA is ideal
  • Experience with an ERP system is required. Experience with Oracle and Hyperion Planning an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adhere to tight deadlines and perform well under pressure
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work with various cross-functional teams
  • Strong financial acumen, analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly fast-paced and dynamic environment

Role Description:

  • Build/manage weekly financial forecasting/process and reporting of operational performance to business partners
  • Responsible for weekly labor planning, optimizing staffing levels, validating operational assumptions, and presenting recommendations to the director of operations
  • Build relationships with key Logistics stakeholders
  • Leverage data and provide insightful analysis to drive business decisions
  • Provide cost-saving initiatives and recommendations to improve profitability, operating efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support the annual budgeting and long-range planning process through budget model creation and data solicitation
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive both short-term and long-term strategic goals
  • Develop quarterly and annual financial forecasts for both Capital and Operating expenses
  • Perform periodic variance analyses and provide explanation of material variances and evaluate impacts to future weeks/months’ forecast
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis, recaps and prepare decks for board meetings
