What This Position is All About

Reporting to the Manager, Implementation & Web Analytics, the Analyst, Marketing Technology will research and scope out the right technology solutions to enable the Marketing team to drive business results in both acqusition and retention media, and then work with the relevant Technology and Vendor teams to implement those tools. In addition to onboarding new technology and processes, this person will support the business via web analytics tacking and measurement. To that end, this person will engage in analytical work, building dashboards, QAing the analytics implementation to ensure data validity, and partnering with the business to interperate and apply those insights.


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or a quantitative field like Economics, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing analytics or database marketing.
  • 1+ years’ experience working with web analytics packages (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), and with various marketing channels to scope and implement their technical tracking requirements (pixels, URL tracking, etc)
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g. SAS or R), and proficient in Python and/or other modes of automation. Must be comfortable learning new tools as our suite evolves.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to code macros in VBA a plus.
  • Proven ability to apply findings to business problems to lift revenue and profits.
  • Knowledge of web analytics packages (e.g. Adobe Analytcs / Omniture, Coremetrics or Google Analytics)

As The Analyst, Marketing Technology, You Will:

  • Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, and Technology teams on defect remediation and new tracking requests, analyses, and reporting. Use scripting languages and automation to surface new data points from Snowflake to Adobe Analytics to enhance teams’ reporting capabilities.
  • Research best in class tools for media/marketing, scope requirements, and work with Tech to implement, QA, and train users. Support ongoing business needs to enhance tools as technology and business needs evolve.
  • Answer key business questions through statistical analyses, reporting and dashboards using analytics toolset available to the teams (SQL, R, Python, Excel, Adobe Analytics) & Prepare executive-ready presentations summarizing findings and recommendations, and automate reports and dashboards that the organization finds valuable
  • Use clickstream, user behavior, and conversion patterns to identify potential issues in near real time and aid pro-active issue resolution with tech partners
  • Support on-site A/B testing strategies as required
  • Lead as-needed training to the wider organization on the tools we manage
  • Run all business and technical aspects of Adobe Analytics including documentation, maintenance, and management of administrative functions re: Adobe, and stay informed of all external changes that affect measurement like privacy laws, browser changes, etc
